Near UvaUva

While we could be selfish and encourage you to spend your time here enjoying your luxe, eco-friendly cabin, we know you’ll probably want to eat. And drink wine. And sight-see.

We’ve thought about that, so we put together this little road map of places near UvaUva, and recommendations in greater Valle de Guadalupe, to help you plan your trip.

San Antonio De Las Minas

Our little corner of the Valle de Guadalupe region is called San Antonio de Las Minas. We’re just under 2 hours from the San Diego border, and less than 30 minutes from El Sauzal and Ensenada.

While there are a ton of great restaurants and wineries in Valle de Guadalupe to enjoy (keep reading for our favorites!), we think San Antonio de Las Minas is pretty neat, too. A bit more casual and local than the rest of the region, our neighborhood offers relaxed eateries, less crowded wineries, and convenient grocery and gas stops all within a short walk or drive from UvaUva.

Other Tips:

  • Reservations: They’re not always needed, but they aren’t a bad idea, especially if you’re traveling in a party of 4 or more. For dinner, we usually recommend calling ahead!

  • Getting Around: Valle de Guadalupe is pretty spread out, and the dirt roads here can be pretty bumpy. If you’re heading somewhere just 2 km away, keep in mind it may take you longer than you think!

  • Tipping: Tipping is not a requirement in Mexico, but it is appreciated, especially in Valle de Guadalupe where the clientele is largely international. [Insert suggested tip here]

  •  Other Things to Do Outside of Wine and Food: Go for a hike at Valle de Guadalupe Hot Springs and Ruins, or drive down to Sauzal or Ensenada to enjoy the beach. We’re centrally located for any and all of the above!
